Capture tests
A fair capture test uses the same target, page limit, and machine, then records what was saved. This page publishes methodology and internal evidence. It does not invent HTTrack bake-off scores.
Standard methodology
- Same starting URL and page limit
- Same Windows environment and WebCopier 1.4.0-rc1
- Compare HTML, CSS, JS, images, fonts, navigation, SPA routes, lazy content
- Record date, missing files, and notes
Published tests
| ID | Date | Type | Environment | Version | Result | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| ENG-UNIT | 2026-09-06 | Engine unit tests | Repo CI / local | 1.4.0-rc1 | Automated checks pass in-repo | Discovery, same-site, offline notices, reports. Not a public website scorecard. |
| OWNER-MULTI | 2026-09 | Modern multilingual sites | Owner Windows runs | 1.4.0-rc1 | Captures completed (owner-reported) | Supports “works on modern JS sites,” not “every site.” No public target list published here. |
| VS-HTTRACK | — | Browser vs HTTP mirror | — | — | Not independently tested | No numbered public bake-off on a named third-party URL. |
Legal note: do not load a production site you do not have permission to capture, even for a benchmark.
